Saint-Patrick’s Day
Dig out that green sweater from the bottom of your closet because Saint-Patrick’s day is here! We couldn’t miss out on all the Irish fun, so we’re hosting our very own Saint-Patrick’s day party here at Alto Vineyards. Join us for an afternoon of green wine slushies, Irish stew, and great music by Ray Maring: The Natives Acoustic Trio with special guest Wil Maring and Robert Bowlin.

New Wine Alert!
We at Alto Vineyards are pleased and proud to announce the very limited release of our estate grown and produced 2020 Cabernet Franc. As a thank you to you, a loyal customer of Alto Vineyards, we wanted to give you the first exclusive look at our new wine.
Our new vintage Cabernet Franc was aged in French and American oak barrels for one and a half years to concentrate and soften the complex flavors characteristic of this vitis vinifera grape. One of the most widely planted grapes and used in some of the finest wines in the world, the Cabernet Franc is alive and well in Southern Illinois. With only fifty cases produced, try it as soon as you can while supplies last!
The Cabernet Franc has aromas of blackberry and cherry with green pepper in the background. It has a firm acidity with a hint of oak, tannins, coffee, and unsweetened chocolate in the finish. This is a young wine with good aging potential.

Movie Night
What’s better than a movie night? A movie night with wine! Saturday 19th of March Alto Vineyards turns into a real movie theater. The big screen will be filled with two documentaries made by Dan Johnson, the acclaimed artist and movie maker from Alto Pass. So grab your popcorn and wine glass and get ready for a great Saturday night!
"Tomato Fertility Rites 2019"
This documentary is about a unique Southern Illinois tradition. Filmed in 2019, it highlights local flavor, including the Tomato Fertility ambiance, nobility and shrine, as well as the spontaneity of many talented local musicians. Learn about the genesis, history, and folklore behind the party through interviews with many Southern Illinois residents.
"Scintillating Sicily"
Scintillating Sicily is a travelogue filmed in 2018. It rejoices in the island of Sicily while documenting a cycling trip around the coast and its timeless landscape. Join the family as we cycle through olive groves and grape arbors, and experience the beauty and challenges of this trip, from Agrigento to Erice.

Wine Of The Month
The wine of the month March is the Heartland white!
