Here at Alto Vineyards, we can’t get enough of spreading the love this Valentine’s day. That’s why we invite you and all your loved ones to our special Valentine’s event on Saturday, February 12th! Come join this celebration of love and friendship in our tasting room.
This year we’re embracing the cultural diversity of our community by celebrating “El Dia de Amor y La Amistad”. Enjoy amazing Mexican food with our specialty drinks. And of course, we can’t forget about the chocolate!

New wine alert!
Yes, we are just as excited as you are! It’s with great pride that we announce our two new Australian wines, the Shiraz and the Cabernet Merlot.
The Renzaglia family roots run deep and reach all the way across the world to Australia where Mark Renzaglia, son of Guy Renzaglia, has his very own winery. His story started here in Alto Pass but soon he spread out his wings and moved to Australia. There, he found the perfect place to build Bella Luna Vineyard and so the family business grew across the boundaries of Illinois. Fast forward to today, Bella Luna Vineyard is an award-winning winery that makes some of the finest dry red wines in Australia. We don’t want you to miss out on that, so we asked Mark to ship us some of his best wines and they have finally arrived! Order our Australian wine bottles here.

Pruning time!
It’s that time of the year when we start pruning the vines. Pruning is the process where we cut off excess branches so the vine can concentrate its energy. So why do we do it? By cutting off parts of the plant we make sure they stay healthy and produce lots of delicious grapes every year. Did you know that the timing and how it’s done can even influence the taste of the wine? We look forward to seeing these vines full of grapes during harvest time!
