Southern Illinois Music Festival Opera Teaser

Alto Vineyards is proud to host an evening Opera Teaser as part of the Southern Illinois Music Festival. The event will feature famous opera excerpts by Mozart, Donizetti, Bizet, Offenbach, Verdi and Puccini with internationally recognized soloists. 
 
This 21st Annual Southern Illinois Music Festival (SIFest) with Edward Benyas, Artistic Director run from May 23 through June 8th. Tickets to Festival events are $25 general and $10 for students of any age, and are always available at the door, or in advance by mail using the order form on the SIFest brochure. https://www.sifest.com/ A $150 All-Festival Pass provides admission to all concerts (except the opening two Soirées), and includes a free SIFest program booklet ($250 value).

Harvest Festival : Celebrating 37 years and the 30th Anniversary of the Wine Trail

Our biggest and most spectacular event of the year occurs during grape harvest season. This year we celebrate 37 years in business and the 30th anniversary of the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail. As a special event, we will feature a wine tasting paired with appetizers at 1:00pm. The cost will be $15 per participant and will feature a presentation about the history of Alto Vineyards and the establishment of the wine trail in 1995 by the family founders of both.

Music will be performed 2:00-7:00 at our stage and guests are invited to dance or relax around our scenic grounds and in our comfortable buildings.  Local artist and vendors will sell their products all afternoon. In addition to Alto Vineyards specialty grilled food prepared by our expert cooks, we will have food trucks serving up delicious food. The day ends with one of the most spectacular displays of fireworks in Southern Illinois by Falling Skies Pyrotechnics at 8:00 PM. Don’t forget your lawn chair!

Attendees will engage in hands-on activities focused on our beautiful yet complex natural environment with its unique animal and plant inhabitants. The festival will also feature arts and crafts activities, live music and local vendors. Funds will be raised through a silent auction and donation opportunities.

Proceeds go toward providing resources and assistance to Southern Illinois STEM teachers. Let's come together to support our teachers and enhance learning experiences for youth and adults in our communities!
