Karen Fiorino, artist and founder of Clay Lick Creek Pottery, is best known for her colorful, nature-inspired Majolica pottery. In her newest creative venture, she brings that same playful energy and attention to detail to watercolor gouache. This collection, The A–Z Watercolor Series, features 26 vibrant circular paintings—each inspired by a letter of the alphabet and filled with animals, plants, and natural wonders, from the microscopic to the majestic.

Building on her love of the natural world and the whimsical designs that have defined her pottery for over 25 years, Fiorino’s watercolor series offers a fresh perspective on familiar motifs, revealing how curiosity and imagination continue to shape her evolving artistic journey.

Shannon Geen is an artist, educator, and early childhood systems consultant who has lived in southern Illinois for over 25 years. Shannon was raised with a creative mindset and loves making art with her community. She creates in a variety of styles and media, including acrylics, fiber, collage, ink & watercolor, photography, and sometimes even puppetry! Shannon’s floral works are bursting with color and vibrant energy, but are also thoughtful and contemplative, giving the viewer a chance to slow down and notice little details about theworld they might otherwise miss.
