News:

The 2014 Music Among the Vines schedule is finally here! We're delighted to informally release the schedule for the 2014 season and to welcome back old favorites and some new acts as well. As usual, Candy Foster & Shades of Blue will be hitting the stage for us multiple times this year, along with The Blues Deacons, The Impalas and Jeff Helgesen. Along with them, there is a return of Tom Turino's Big Grove Zydeco to the MATV roster (a more electric version of his Cajun band) and the debut of Black Magic Johnson, an exciting blues band out of Springfield. We're hard at work getting our official mailer designed and printed, so look for it in your mailbox the last week in April. In the meantime, send us an email to sign up for our mailing list and like us on Facebook to get the latest news from Alto Vineyards!

March's Wine of the Month is Traminette! Come take advantage of 15% off two or more bottles! A hybrid of Gewurztraminer that was developed right here at University of Illinois, Traminette is unique and refreshing. With highlights of tropical fruit and sweet spice to go with a remarkably crisp, floral nose, this white is versatile enough to be paired with cheese or salads, dinner or dessert. Come taste our Traminette and pick up a few bottles to usher in spring (fingers crossed!) in style!

About Us:

Alto Vineyards is one of Illinois' oldest and most decorated wineries.  From our beginnings, as Guy Renzaglia's retirement dream on a small plot of land in the middle of the Shawnee Hills area in Alto Pass, Illinois, Alto Vineyards has stood for the unique passion and fellowship that wine best delivers. From our first vintage in 1988 to now--with a trophy cabinet full of over 800 national and international awards--our vintner and President, Paul Renzaglia, has continued to hold dear the driving goal of his father, Guy--to grow and use exceptional Illinois grapes to make outstanding wines.

Now, with our second location opening in Champaign in 2001, Alto Vineyards has brought its award-winning wines to Central Illinois.  Our Music Among the Vines concert series has been running for over 10 years and become a fixture of the summer event schedule in the area.  Offering complimentary, walk-in wine tasting every day, you don't need a reservation at Alto Vineyards--just give us a heads-up if your party is larger than 8 so we can expect you! We also have a large selection of unique and local wine-related gifts, cheeses, and gourmet food. Situated far enough from the city to be a refreshing change from the bar scene and close enough for a quick drive out, there is nowhere like Alto Vineyards Champaign!

Our venue is also available for party, meeting or wedding rentals, and we have ample outdoor and indoor space. If you're interested, download our Rental Info Sheet for more information.  If you have any questions pertaining to events or anything Alto Vineyards, send us an email at champaign@altovineyards.net.

Salute!
